Churchgoers began in its early concept stage on 22nd of April 2018 as a game concept made by Sivert N. Hjortland.
The concept was later used in January of 2019, where the game was developed as a Bachelor Thesis project with the focus on making game development tools and how communication between a designer and programmer should ideally work. It was at this time Bells that End was formed, only consisting of Sivert, Ulrik and Zackery.
The game was available to wishlist on the Steam Store the 3rd of May 2019.
